WHY I CREATED IVORY & INK
I come from a lineage of women who never whispered their worth. My great-grandmother owned her storefront with intention—dressed to be seen, and never to be underestimated. My mother, a telecom executive, understood the power of a sharp suit and an even sharper mind. Their elegance wasn’t ornamental—it was strategic.
Ivory & Ink was born in that image.
As a leadership strategist and executive search partner, I’ve spent two decades inside boardrooms, green rooms, and interview rooms—watching brilliant women second-guess how they looked in moments where their leadership should have been the only story.
I’ve seen the road warrior executive quietly cringe at the bag she didn’t have time to swap. The finalist in a high-powered search wondering if her visible roots would speak louder than her résumé. The founder who defaulted—again—to the safe, forgettable suit because “how I’m dressed shouldn’t matter… right?”
I’ve seen women dim their aesthetic authority in the name of humility, invisibility, or sheer exhaustion. And I’ve seen what happens when they stop.
